Hammer Project

In this project I learned how use the polygonal transformation manipulator tool, how to extrude, and how to subdivide polygon faces. I was able to learn this project by watching our teacher do a quick explanation/ tutorial and by reading the directions typed on google classroom. I picked this project because I spent a lot of time on the hammer's head and this project turned out better than I thought it would, especially the shadows. My greatest strength during this project was patience because when I was extruding, my hammer was not doing what I wanted it to do. My weakness during this project was would be not making the green take up more of the picture, because there is too much black. I have improved because I have the right shadows. I will take my learning of the manipulator tool and extrude tool to my next projects. I would change the background so there would not be so much black. This project helped me prepare for other projects by practicing the manipulator tool and the extrude tool.

Polything Project

In this project I learned how to create polygon primitives, use shadows, and use the boolean difference tool. I leaned this by reading the step by step directions posted on google classroom, and help from my neighbors and teacher. I picked this project because it was the first project I created with shadows, and I like the blinn on it. My greatest strength on this project would be listening to my teacher help me arrange my lights. My weakness during this project would be needing lots of help to get my lights in the right spot. I have improved from this project, because the very first project I made had no shadows. I will use my knowledge of shadows and boolean difference in my future projects. I really wouldn't change anything about this project because I thought it turned out pretty well. In general this project helped me to be able to know how and where to set the lights.

Salt Shaker

In this project I learned how to use NURB and lofting. I learned this by paying attention in class and reading the step by step instructions. I picked this project because I liked how it turned out and it was more of a fun project to create. My greatest strength in the project was to be able to figure out how create the NURB primitive circle. My weakness would be making the ridges on the salt shaker, because it was hard to make them all equal, so one was not bigger than the other. I have improved because now I know how to use NURB for my future projects. I am going to take NURBS and lofting into other projects to make them look more realistic. Making this salt shaker and was pretty easy, and only took me a day to finish.

Cup Project

In this project I leaned how to use the revolve tool and how to create a profile curve. I learned this by watching our teacher created a cup as an example. I picked this project because I was really happy about how it turned out and it was fun to make. To create the profile curve was interesting to me because I had to click 13 dots on the grid, only on one side. Then, I clicked the return button so it created the outline. After that, I clicked the revolve button and my cup was made! It was super easy. My cup was bigger at first, but I scaled it down and played with it a little, so it would look more like a wine glass. My greatest strength in this project would be helping others, because I was able to complete this project with no other help so my neighbors were asking me to help them! I don't think I had any weaknesses on this project because I had a good idea of what I was doing. I have improved because now I am able to use the revolve tool. I am going to take the revolve tool and profile curve into my future projects. I would change my project by rendering it out instead of doing a screenshot because I would have had a different background. This project was my second favorite and I was really happy I was able to complete it by myself. My favorite project is next.

Ice Cream Project

This is my favorite project I have made in animation this year! I learned how to create a moving lazy susan and use tagents linear to create a seamless rotation. I learned this by reading the instructions, getting help from my neighbors, and help from my teacher. I picked this project, because even though it took a long time to complete it was fun making the ice cream and adding the textures to the ice cream to make it look realistic. My strength during this project would be patience, because this project took a lot of time and importing it into After Effects to make it an animated video was frustrating at times. My weakness would be making the lazy susan. At first, it was spinning way out, but then I remembered that I had to center pivot it. After that, it was all good. I have improved because now I know that I need to click center pivot if I don't want it spinning out so far. I am going to take my knowledge of the lazy susan to make moving parts, and my use of tagents linear to make a seamless rotation. I wouldn't change anything in this project because I love it! This is my favorite project I have made in animation this year and I hope I can do something similar to this project in the future.

My Personality Type!!

Yesterday and today in e-Comm we took the Myers-Briggs personality test. My personality type is ESTP. ESTP stands for extravert, sensing, thinking, and perceiving. I'm 34% extravert, 1% sensing, 3% thinking, and 9% perceiving. I share a personality type with Donald Trump, Ryan Seacrest, and Taylor Swift. ESTP's are energetic and have a good sense of humor. I think this type relates to me because I'm energetic and I talk a lot. ESTP don't like long boring conversations and I don't like long boring conversations. The description of ESTP relates to me and is spot on. My personality types explains why I'm always trying something new and why I'm involved in so many activities. I'm always doing something to keep me entertained. I get bored easily if I'm not doing anything. I like to keep moving. My personality type explains why I like to be loud on the basketball courts and softball fields and at home. My uncle always complains that I'm ...

Weekly Blog 12/8/17

I watched a video about a brother who saves his little brother from chocking. I liked how the anchors asked simple questions that could be understood by the little boy and I also liked how they had an emergency response worker on the show because that is how the little boy learned how to save someone from chocking. They used a fake baby to demonstrate how to save someone from chocking and I liked that because you could see a visual representation of how the little boy learned it. I think it would've been better if the mom explained a little more about what happened because it was hard to understand what he was saying at some points. I will try and use visual references so that the audience can have a visual idea of what is going on. I will also keep in mind to write my questions to the level of the person I am interviewing (example: if I am interviewing someone younger make my questions simpler, than if someone who is older).

Weekly Blog 10/28/17

They story I watched was a little boy who received a special Christmas,  It all started when a little boy took his moms phone and posted a video of himself on his moms Facebook. He then later appeared on Ellen and was interviewed by  Ryan Seacrest and Kris Jenner. He shocked people with his knowledge on dinosaurs.   The anchors brought his toys on the show so he could show them what he knows. The anchors gave them their full attention and that to me made watching this story better. A lot of background information was given as the anchors asked him the 5 W's.  I personally feel they did a good job with the interview. I will take the skill of really interacting and engaging with people for further interviews. Also, adding more background information to set the scene.
